The cooling system (fig. 4.16) — liquid, closed, with compulsory circulation, consists of a water shirt in the block and a head of cylinders of the engine, the pump of a cooling liquid, a radiator, a broad tank, the fan, the thermostat, a stopper of a broad tank, a casing of the fan, drain краника and stoppers.
The radiator is included in the scheme of system of cooling 5 heaters of a cabin, and for buses and ГАЗ-2705 "Kombi", except that, a radiator 4 additional heaters and the electropump 3.
On the car it is established краник 2 radiators of a heater with the electric drive. In one case settles down краник, connected through a mechanical reducer the microelectric motor included by the handle 1 (fig. 9.23 see). Краник has two positions — it is completely open or it is completely closed. Before handle turn on 90 ° to the right from a starting position the crane is closed, at the further turn of the handle to the right against the stop — the crane is opened. In a drain branch of a radiator of a heater in its uppermost point the tee 7 (fig. 4.16) is located. The tee is located in a cabin under the panel of devices on the right side. In the position of a stopper turned out on 2—3 turn 8 (fig. 4.16 see) tee there is a message of system of heating to atmosphere that allows to exclude completely air stoppers at filling of system of cooling of the engine and system of heating by a working liquid.
Maintenance of a correct temperature mode of the engine makes solving impact on deterioration of the engine and profitability of its work. The optimum temperature of a cooling liquid (85—90 °) is supported by means of the thermostat operating automatically, and a cover on radiator facing.
For the control of temperature of a cooling liquid there is the temperature index which gauge will screw in the branch pipe of the thermostat which is on a head of cylinders. Besides, on a guard of devices there is a signalling device, lighting up red light at liquid rise in temperature above 105 ° S.Datchik of a signalling device is in a back cover of a head of cylinders. At signalling device fire it is necessary to establish and eliminate the overheat reason immediately.
The thermostat (fig. 4.17) with firm наполнителем, двухклапанный, type ТС-107-01, is located in a target branch pipe of a head of cylinders and connected by hoses to the pump of a cooling liquid and a radiator.
The basic valve of the thermostat starts to open at temperature of a cooling liquid 78—82 ° S.Pri to temperature 94 ° With it already completely is opened. At the closed basic valve the liquid in system of cooling of the engine circulates, passing a radiator, through the open additional valve of the thermostat in a shirt of cooling of the engine. At completely open basic valve the additional valve is closed also all liquid passes through a cooling radiator.
The body heater is connected in parallel to a radiator, and the thermostat does not disconnect it from the engine. Therefore at engine warming up it is not necessary to open заслонку воздухопритока and to include the heater electric motor.
The thermostat automatically maintains necessary temperature of a cooling liquid in the engine, disconnecting and including liquid circulation through a radiator. In cold weather, especially at small loadings of the engine, almost all heat is taken away as a result обдува the engine by cold air, and the cooling liquid through a radiator does not circulate.
For maintenance of an optimum temperature mode of the engine at negative temperatures of air it is necessary to close facing of a radiator by a cover.
In no event it is impossible to remove the thermostat. In a cold season the engine without the thermostat gets warm long and works at low temperature of a cooling liquid. Its deterioration is as a result accelerated, the fuel expense increases, there is a plentiful adjournment of resinous substances in the engine, and also the normal temperature of air in a car cabin is not provided.
In a warm season in the absence of the thermostat the most part of a cooling liquid will circulate on a small circle (through a shirt of cooling of the engine), passing a radiator. As a result it will lead to an engine overheat.
The pump of a cooling liquid (fig. 4.18) — centrifugal type. The pump bearing is separated from a cooling liquid самоподжимным by an epiploon of not folding design. The liquid which has filtered through an epiploon, does not get to the bearing, and follows outside through a control aperture 3 which is necessary for clearing periodically. The bearing of the pump from moving is kept by a clamp 1 which will turn against the stop and закернен. The bearing is filled with greasing at assemblage, and while in service greasing additions it is not required. The pulley of the pump of a cooling liquid is resulted in rotation together with a generator pulley one клиновым a belt from a pulley of a cranked shaft (fig. 4.19).
The fan — шестилопастный, plastic. It is resulted in rotation from a cranked shaft клиновым by a belt. The fan rotates in two bearings. Bearings are established in the special arm fixed on a cover of distributive gear wheels by three hairpins.
Radiator (fig. 4.20) — trubchato-tape, with lateral plastic tanks. Tanks are connected to a radiator skeleton through a rubber sealing lining by обжимки a basic plate on a flange of plastic tanks. On tanks and the top plate of a skeleton of a radiator there are arms for radiator fastening to a car body. On the right tank (on a car course) in the bottom part there is a drain stopper for plum of a cooling liquid.
The broad tank — plastic, is connected by a hose to the branch pipe bringing the cooled liquid from a radiator to the engine, and a tube — with a branch pipe of the thermostat and the left tank of a radiator. On a tank there is label MIN — the bottom admissible level of a cooling liquid in a tank. The broad tank is closed by the carving stopper supporting an elevated pressure in system of cooling.
The stopper of a broad tank hermetically closing system of cooling, has two valves: steam, opening at pressure 80—110 кПа (0,8—1,1 kgs/sm 2), and air, opening at depression 1,0—10 кПа (0,01—0,1 kgs/sm 2).
